PREAMBLE
Anna University has a proud distinction of generating year after year a large number of quality human reso urces in almost all areas of engineering, technology and management. As a result, there is no known place on the global map where there is no alumnus of this University found working, Although there are few alumni interactions happening at regular intervals, there is no professionally managed centre to facilitate alumnus to continuously and meaningfully interact with their parent institutions. Time and again, alumnus from all parts of the world have requested the Vice-Chancellor to establish a dedicated facility not only to offer their services to the university but also to keep them update in their career through various professional development avenues. With this background, a dedicated centre for alumni affairs has been established.
OBJECTIVES
- To initiate various effective measures to develop and maintain different forms of network among globally distributed distinguished alumnus of this university.
- To effectively utilize the services of the alumni in teaching, training and research and thereby enhance the infrastructure and expertise of the University.
- To provide unique professional development and continuous training and retraining avenues for the global alumnus through flexible learning paths and advanced learning technologies to keep them update throughout their professional life.
- To develop a state of art infrastructure that include large database, teleconferencing online forums, Net chats and digital library for the benefit of alumnus to access the facilities of the University from remote locations.
