She completed her MSc degree in Communication from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1999. She is currently perusing her doctoral studies on impact of television. She started her carrier as a Visualiser in Ishwarya Advertising Agency. She has been the staff Editor of the lab jorurnal “The Madurai Voice” published by the students of Master of Communication and Journalism, Madurai Kamaraj University. She has prepared course materials for Directorate of Distance Education, Madurai Kamaraj University.
