Self Supporting Courses (Undergraduate and Post Graduate)

76 Self supporting programmes both in UG and PG (regular and part time) are supported by this centre. Over 7500 students are on roll. Undergraduate programmes are offered in 32 branches and Post graduate programmes are offered in 44 branches. The fees collected from students of self supporting programmes are utilized for campus development, and also for the infrastructure development in the departments.

Short term courses are supported by this centre to inculcate advanced technology training to industries in a wider spectrum. Short term courses in collaboration with industriesare also offered by this Centre. The details of courses conducted are as given below.

Anna University has signed a MoU with PERS Software Education Pvt. Ltd for conducting certificate courses. This AU-PERS Centre is periodically conducting courses on Embedded Systems Design and Technical Writing which are monitored by CPDE.

Anna university and Apollo Telehealth Technology Courses

This certificate course in Telehealth Technologies is being conducted periodically for the medical professionals to meet the needs of dramatic changes in the delivery of healthcare services, driven by economic, political and consumer will. This course is designed to anticipate the demand for people with skills to deliver and manage new health delivery systems. The objective is to create and train manpower capable of understanding the design, selection, procurement, installation, management, maintenance and evaluation of Telehealth Centers which are likely to be opened in India and other countries both in the public and private sectors. This is the only first formal course of its kind in Asia, for which employment opportunities are bright.
