Computational facility

In order to provide computational facility to the students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes round the clock, 25 high end servers (IBM, SUN) and more than 800 desktop computers are being installed in various departments of Anna University and put to use in all the seven days in a week

Smart card

Anna University hasintroduced University Multi Purpose Smart Card System (UMPC) for applications in attendance, access control, health care, e cash payment, RFID enhanced library automation system, portable security information system and university parking at four constituent institutions of Anna University Chennai. Over 13,000 cards were printed and issued to students / research scholars of the four constituent colleges of Anna University Chennai.

Video Conferencing facility

Video conferencing facility has been installed in this Centre with 512 KBS of ISDN lines and 2MBS of leased line. This facility is widely used for Telehealth Technologies Courses to enable the students to interact with people all over the world

Digital Library

The Digital Library has a High End Scanner (MINOLTA PS 7000). Old Syndicate minutes and books which are above 50 years, Palm leaves (Tamil & Sanskrit) are scanned and recorded in a Compact Disc with the help of this scanner
