ENDOWMENT LECTURES
An International Hydrological Decade (IHD) endowment lecture programme is conducted once in two years by the Centre, inviting eminent engineers and scientists from within India and abroad, related to various topics of water resources engineering and water management. So far, twelve such endowment lectures were organized; the first one was delivered by late Prof.Ven Te Chow of University of Illinois, USA, in the year 1975 and the latest one by Prof. Victor R. Baker in 2003.
Dr.Jayasekhar Endowment Lecture is conducted once in a year; the aim of this Endowment is to award Gold Medals for the I Rankers in M.E (H&WRE) and M.E (IWM), 2003-2005 batches onwards. The first Lecture was delivered by Er.M.Dheenadhayalan, B.E., F.I.E.Engineer- in Chief, WRO, PWD on 16th July, 2004.
