Grid Computing
The Grid Computing Laboratory at Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University headed by Dr.S.ThamaraiSelvi, Professor & Head, Dept. of Computer Technology.The recent project titled "CARE (Centre for Advanced Computing Research and Education)" aims at establishing a research centre to produce human resources in the area of Grid Computing and recent trends. At CARE, we undertake R & D efforts to address diverse issues in the field of Grid Computing such as Grid Virtualization, Knowledge grid, Grid Scheduling, Grid resource monitoring, and Trusted Grid Computing. We also investigate the research issues in implementing cloud computing across grid infrastructure. The centre aims to develop human resources in HPC by offering workshops, tutorials and hands on training in various technologies related to Grid and Cluster computing.
