HISTORY
The Center for Water Resources was established in the year 1979 to provide direction and guidance on various problems of water resources management in addition to imparting academic instruction and training required at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. The Centre offers two M.E. programmes in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering and in Irrigation Water Management, besides M.S., Ph.D., research, consultancy and other extension activities in the similar interdisciplinary areas of specialisation.

The activities of the Centre have been greatly diversified and in depth analysis on many field oriented and academic projects are initiated resulting in the development of competent expertise in many areas of water resources engineering at national and international levels. The Center has undertaken various sponsored research projects and consultancies funded by the various agencies to the tune of 1127.0 Lakhs.
