Phone : 044-22203327 The Department Of Management Studies was started in the year 1981. It has catered to management education for the past 27 years. The department has 13 regular highly qualified expert faculty members. In addition, there are 6 Visiting Faculty members. At present there are 15 students pursuing their Ph.D. in the department under various functional areas of Management. The department has a sanctioned intake of 60 students in the Full-time programme and 30 in the Part-time (SS) programme. The syllabi and curriculum of the department is continuously revised to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the industry. The syllabi was last revised in 2005-06. The revised curriculum has been implemented from 2005-06 and it has some unique features such as extensive focus on seminars, which aim at preparing the students for their future career to be in industry or to become entrepreneurs. The Department is highly focused on gaining placements for the students. The average pay package of Rs.4.5 lakh per annum for the 2005-07 batch has been achieved. The Department is equipped with a well maintained computer lab and library. It has a spacious auditorium. |
