With dynamic changes taking place in hardware and embedded system design, the Applied Electronics and VLSI design laboratory is well equipped to bridge the gap between industry and institute, and also it serves as a resource centre for UG, PG students and researchers in the field of VLSI design and Testing, Embedded System Design and RTOS design for SoC. The lab is equipped with high-end hardware boards and related softwares. Some of the hardware boards are exclusively designed by students assisted by faculties. Other target boards include FPGA and CPLD boards of various capacities, ARM processors board and microcontroller Boards.
This lab has advanced softwares like Xilinx Web pack, Altera Quartus-II, Tanner EDA, Nucleus RTOS, RIDE and KEIL 8051 Simulator and Debugger. This lab is equipped with state-of-the-art 64-bit Microcontroller Boards donated by Renesas Technology Singapore Pte Ltd., through MoU with Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.
