Abstract:

The invention relates to Jet Propulsion Engines that are particularly used in aircraft. The jet engine is designed to operate both as a Turbojet and Ramjet engine with a single combustion chamber. Two hollow spikes are employed at both ends of the engine. Initially the engine is started by a turbo molecular vacuum pump and an air turbine starter. When the engine attains the required speed to produce ram pressure, the compressor and turbine are disengaged from the airflow by housing them inside the hollow spikes. This is done mechanically by the means of screw type actuator.
