VIVEGA'10 - (An Event for Orphanage Children)

    VIVEGA'10 was organized by the Youth Red Cross, College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, Anna University, Chennai in association with State Bank of India, M/s Regenix Drugs Ltd, M/s Smile Foundation and M/s Food King Catering Services for the students of nine orphanages, which are

  • Christ Home Faith for Children, Manappakkam
  • Avvai Home and Orphanage, Adyar
  • Faith Home Orphanage, Porur
  • Share and Care Children Welfare Society, Perambur
  • Sevasamajam Girls Home, Egmore
  • Sevalaya, Thiruninravur
  • Webb's Memorial Orphanage, St.Thomas Mount
  • Gracious Home, Anna Nagar
  • Open Door Orphanage and Community Centre, Manali

The event was conducted on 31st January 2010 (Sunday). Around 250 students from the orphanages came forward enthusiastically to participate in the programme.
The Valedictory Function was electrified with the presence of our Vice-Chancellor Dr.P.Mannar Jawahar, our Special Guest Mr.Nandha Kumar, IRS Officer and Mr.Ravindran, Manager, M/s.Sakthi's Kitchen. Dr.S.Jayalakshmi, YRC Programme Officer welcomed the guests of the function.

The inauguration was conducted in Prof. K.S.Hegde Auditorium in Department of Management Studies, CEG Campus, Anna University, Chennai. It began solemnly with prayer song.The chief guest of the inaugural function was Mr.E.Sarath Babu, CEO, Food King Catering Services.The presence of Mrs.Kalai Selvi, Managing Executive, Regenix Drugs Pvt. Ltd., Thiru.Ganesha Moorthy, Member, Smile Foundation, Dr.M.Sekar, Dean, CEG Campus and Dr.B.Kumar, YRC Programme Co-Ordinator, Anna University, Chennai added colour to the function.
