Research Contributioins

  • Dr.S.Balasivanandha Prabu research contributions are known for their experimental experience and have included both fundamental and applied aspects of composite and nanostructured materials. His expert level book chapter along with eminent Professor K.A Padmanabhan titled "Reliability of nanostructured Materials" published in 2010 by Elsevier, is a well appreciated work. His basic researches in the areas of Composite Materials and nanostructured Materials have resulted in terms of research publications in well known refereed international journals. His recent book chapter along with Prof.K.A Padmanabhan "On the Conflicts in the Experimental Results Concerning the Mechanical Properties of Ultra-Fine Grained and Nanostructured Materials: Effects of Processing Routes and Experimental Conditions' by Trans Tech Publications Inc is an attempt to focus the conflictions in the mechanical properties of Bulk Nanostructured Materials processed under similar conditions
  • S.Balasivanandha Prabu's fundamental works on liquid state processing of particle reinforced Metal Matrix Composite is well cited in the recent research papers. His research papers were cited more than 40 times in international journals within last couple of years. His novel idea of microstructure based modeling and analysis of Metal Matrix Composite has been referred by many researchers. He has guided five students' innovative projects which were funded by CTDT, Anna University. One of his projects claimed second prize.
