The objectives of the laboratory are to cater to the needs of Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Researchers in the fields of VLSI Design, Embedded System Design, RTOS Design for SoC and to bridge the gap between Industry and Institution.

The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art Microcontroller, CPLD, FPGA, ARM and PSoC Hardware Target Boards . The software tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus II, Tanner EDA, Nucleus RTOS, RIDE and KIEL 8051 simulator with debugger are available to support advanced research. Microcontrollers are supported Intel FPGAs by Intel and Cypress Semiconductors (USA) for PSoCs. The laboratories hosts FPGA boards such as Xilinx Virtex 6, Virtex 5, KINTEX7, ZYNQ-7000 EPP, ZYNQ-7000 APSoC, Genesys 2, NEXYS 4 DDR, ZED board, ZYBO board, BASYS 3, ATLYS and Intel FPGA boards such as Industrial Networking Kit, Video and Embedded Evaluation Kit, DE4 and DE2 board .

The Electronic test Instruments such as Diligent Analog Discovery kit, Agilent MSO, DSO and Multi purpose Lab work station inherits the laboratory. FPAA along with various Xilinx vivado based PMODS also forms the part of the basic activities.
