As a part this conference, it is planned to organize a Science and Engineering Exhibition by inviting

i) Government Agencies
ii) Private Engineering Colleges near Chennai &
iii) Scientific Vendors and Publishers.

In addition, we also plan to invite the participation of Colleges around Chennai city to exhibit scientific student projects related to the themes of the Conference. The details of the student projects are given separately below.

This exhibition will provide valuable opportunity for the institution/ organization to interact with the international and national scientists/ engineers, who will attend this important conference

Infrastructure facilities for Exhibition
For this purpose, we plan to arrange for exhibition halls in the Anna University Campus (near the Institute for Ocean Management, Koodal Hall). Each stall will be of 2.5 m x 2 m in area and will be available for five days from 7 - 11 December 2003. Installation can be made on the 7th and can be removed on 11th December 2003.

Exhibition Charges
A fee of Rs. 20000/- will be charged per stall for all the five days. Allotment of stalls will be made on first come first served basis. Please send in your cheque/ demand draft in favor of COFIS 2003 and addressed to:

Student Projects
Students from Chennai city colleges are invited to exhibit scientific projects on any of the four themes. For this purpose, a two-page write up is invited from the environment/ life science/ related departments, on the exact nature of the project planned, giving a short description of the issue to be addressed. The local organizing committee will select a set of about 10 projects based on the proposals received from various institutions and these institutions will be asked to bring their exhibits during the days 2 and 3 of the conference (i.e. 9 - 10 December 2003).

Best Project Award
I
t is also intended to give away the "BEST PROJECT" Award to two of the best student exhibits, which will be selected by a special committee of three members comprising senior scientists attending the conference

It will carry a cash prize for the institution. There is NO PARTCIPATION FEE for student projects.

For student projects exhibition stalls of 2.5 m x 2 m in area and will be available for three days from 8 - 10 December 2003. Installation can be made on the morning of 8th and must be removed on the morning of 11th December 2003.
