Introduction Objectives Themes Presentation Abstracts/Papers Program Registration Financial Assistance Venue Accommodation Important Information Organizers Accepted Papers Contact Home	Depending on sponsorship availability, funding for II class train travel, local hospitality and waiver of registration fee will be considered exclusively for students/ research scholars/ young scientists (below 35 years) of Indian nationality. At present the organizers are not in a position to offer any financial assistance to the participants. Information will be updated as and when funds become available.      The COFIS Conference Committee has approached a few funding agencies to offer a limited number of financial assistance grants to support participation at COFIS 2003. An application for a grant can only be made by persons who have submitted one or more abstracts to the scientific program. Financial assistance funds are limited. Most awards will be for the registration fee only. It is unlikely that full support will be possible.      THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF GRANT APPLICATIONS [provided below] IS THE SAME AS FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS: OCTOBER 15, 2003.       Applications should only be sent to the COFIS 2003 Secretariat at the Institute for Ocean Management, Anna University, Chennai 600 025.      If two or more authors of one abstract request assistance; priority will be given to the presenting author. The first author listed will be considered the presenting author unless otherwise indicated.      All applications for financial assistance will be decided by November 15, 2003.
