Balukhand:
  Balukhand Wild Life Sanctuary (established in 1935) is located between 19°49-19°50'N and 85°51-85 E, in Puri district. The physical features of this sanctuary commence from the coastal region and consist mainly of a plain sandy area. This sanctuary has an area of 9.33kmē, which has a significant reptile population. Since the forest has bordered on the beach, 6 species of turtles use the shore as a breeding ground. The inner forest is a suitable habitat for migratory and resident birds and also roosting place for wetland birds. Northern side of the Balukhand forest is the Nunani estuary
